Dewar and Beggs both held events this past week to get fans excited about the fall season packed with athletic events. Softball, cross country, football and band, along with cheer squads, were introduced to those in attendance. County teams are looking forward to another great season. Beggs football will be at Hilldale this Friday, while Dewar football hosts Alex Thursday. The Lady Demon softball team is competing at the Kellyville/Prague Tournament. Both Dewar and Beggs have new head coaches, though the leaders are not new to the district. David Shannon coaches the Golden Demons, while Matt Ross leads the Dragons.
