Republicans to meet Aug. 12

The Okmulgee County Republican Party will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the American Legion, 730 W. 6th St. in Okmulgee.

The meeting will include a business session for registered Republicans only from 6-6:30 p.m., followed by a regular meeting from approximately 6:30-8 p.m., which is open to the public.

Guest speakers will include Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer, Lead Pastor of Sheridan Church in Tulsa and founder of Pastors for Trump, and Cindy Byrd, CPA, Oklahoma’s State Auditor & Inspector.

Lahmeyer founded Pastors for Trump during the 2024 Presidential Election and has worked with President Trump on faith-based initiatives.

Byrd, elected in 2018 as the first woman State Auditor, has conducted over 3,000 audits, uncovering millions in misappropriated funds and received the 2022 Excellence in Accountability Award.
