— Coach Shawn Hines joins as DC, history teacher Coach Shawn Hines, a proud new addition to Knight Nation, will serve as the Defensive Coordinator for the Henryetta High School football team while also teaching history. Hines brings with him a wealth of experience at both the high school and middle school levels, along with a unique and honorable background – having served seven years in the United States Navy as an Intelligence Analyst.
Hines hopes to make a lasting and positive impact on Henryetta students both on and off the field. When he’s not coaching or teaching, Hines enjoys trying new restaurants, spending time with his family, and playing with his nephew. His passion for education stems from his love of mentoring young men and women, a quality the district believes will contribute greatly to the school’s mission.
Henryetta Public Schools also extended sincere thanks to Coach Hines for his military service and commitment to helping protect the country.
— Coach Colin Rogers returns to Knight Nation After some time away, Coach Colin Rogers is back home at Henryetta, and the community couldn’t be more thrilled. Coach Rogers returns to a familiar role, bringing his experience and energy back to the Black & Gold. His coaching assignments this year include:
• High School Assistant Fastpitch Coach
• High School Assistant Boys Basketball Coach
• Middle School Head Baseball Coach
• Elementary ISS Teacher Coach Rogers is no stranger to success. During his previous tenure at Henryetta, he assisted in four State Tournament appearances and has two additional State Tournament experiences from other schools. His years in high-caliber programs have earned him a reputation for dedication and excellence among students, athletes and fellow educators.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Rogers enjoys spending time with his wife, Courtney, and their children – Keagan, Tinley and Baker. You’ll often find him at his kids’ sporting events, and come hunting season, he swaps out his Knight gear for camo and heads outdoors.
Coach Rogers shared that his favorite part of education is the friendships he’s made through coaching and witnessing the growth of his athletes. “There is nothing like watching a kid struggle with something but continue to work at it until they master it,” he said.
Looking ahead, Rogers has set two clear goals for the year: helping the softball team reestablish itself as a consistent State Tournament contender and leading the boys basketball team to its first-ever state tournament appearance.

Welcome to the team, coaches!
