Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT) invites the community to experience an evening of exceptional food for a greater cause at its upcoming Farm-to-Table Dinner, scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 5-7:30 p.m. The event will take place inside the Culinary State Room on the OSUIT campus, located at 1801 E. 4th St. in Okmulgee.

This exclusive dining experience will highlight the talents of student chefs from OSUIT’s acclaimed Culinary Arts program, offering attendees an unforgettable, locally sourced meal crafted under the direction of Chef Candyse Walker-Murray. Tickets are $25 per person, and all proceeds will benefit student scholarships within the Culinary Arts program, helping to open doors to opportunity and professional development for future chefs.

The dinner is part of OSUIT’s partnership with Food on the Move and Looped Square Meat Company, two organizations dedicated to food access and community development. The collaboration reflects OSUIT’s commitment to providing handson learning experiences that directly impact both students and the broader community.

“Helping students go further- one meal at a time” is the mission behind this event, which connects diners to the food on their plate through the people who grow it and the students who prepare it. The event offers not only a delicious multi-course meal, but also a behind-thescenes glimpse into the OSUIT Culinary Arts program and its emphasis on farm-to-table education.

Guests will enjoy:

• A thoughtfully curated menu using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

• Live demonstrations and service by OSUIT Culinary students.

• An opportunity to see the sourcing and preparation process in action.

• An interactive environment with Chef Walker-Murray and students available to discuss their culinary journey and methods.

This event is ideal for those passionate about supporting local agriculture, education, and the
