Community members recently gathered for the “Dog Days of Summer” celebration at Okmulgee VFW Post 1189. The event brought residents and their four-legged companions for a day packed with fun, games and plenty of wagging tails. Hosted by VFW Post 1189 and supported by several community organizations, the event lived up to its name with a festive mix of competitions, vendor booths and family-friendly activities that celebrated the special bond between pets and their people.
