Green Country Technology Center (GCTC) offers two upcoming grant writing courses designed to help individuals and organizations secure funding for meaningful community projects. Whether supporting a nonprofit, school district, government agency or small business, these courses provide practical tools for writing strong, effective grant proposals.
Grant Writing 1 will be held Saturday, Aug. 2, and is tailored for beginners seeking to understand the grant process. Participants will learn how to identify funding sources, navigate common grant terminology and structure a proposal from the ground up.
Grant Writing 2 is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9, and offers advanced instruction for those who have completed the first course.
“These courses are designed to give community leaders, educators, nonprofit professionals and small business advocates the knowledge they need to make real progress on projects that matter,” said Wade Lackey, GCTC’s Workforce and Economic Development Director. “Strong grant writing skills can bring new resources and opportunities to our region - and we want to help people make that happen.”
GCTC emphasizes its commitment to serving the community, both through training and collaboration.
“GCTC is deeply invested in the success of our community and nonprofit partners,” said Anthony Nieto, Marketing & Communications Coordinator at GCTC. “Having personally served in various roles throughout the nonprofit sector, I can say these organizations and the people behind them - hold a special place in my heart. These grant writing courses are designed to support their missions and provide the tools needed to secure vital funding that drives real change.”
