--- Meetings & Coordination
• Board of County Commissioners Meeting: Attended the regular meeting to provide updates on ongoing emergency management activities and coordinate on county initiatives.
• Phone Meeting with Verizon Wireless: Conducted a discussion regarding backup communication operations.
• Vendor Coordination: Followed up with SafetyPlus to discuss the implementation of safety programs across county departments. The goal is to improve training efforts and ensure compliance with occupational safety standards.
--- Public & Interagency Inquiries
• Floodplain Management: Responded to seven inquiries concerning properties located within designated floodplain areas. Provided guidance on flood zone status, development restrictions and available mitigation resources.
--- Plans & Projects
• Debris Management Plan: Began comprehensive review and update of the county’s Debris Management Plan to ensure alignment with current FEMA guidelines and operational best practices.
• Unpaved Road Project Grant (District 2): Continued work on the grant-funded project supported by the Oklahoma Conservation Commission. --- Monitoring & Preparedness
• Weather Monitoring: Monitored rainfall activity across the county of two systems that moved through the county to assess flood potential and maintain situational awareness.
--- Community Engagement
• Fireworks Displays: Attended the City of Okmulgee and Schulter fireworks events on Friday and Saturday to observe public safety coordination and ensure emergency readiness at community gatherings.
