The Okmulgee County Health Department is proud to spotlight Dr. Ed Osborn as the latest honoree in its ongoing “Community Health Champions” campaign. Dr. Osborn, a retired pediatrician who served the families of Okmulgee County for over 35 years, is being recognized for his outstanding contributions to health and wellness in the community.
The Okmulgee County Health Department is proud to spotlight Dr. Ed Osborn as the latest honoree in its ongoing “Community Health Champions” campaign. Dr. Osborn, a retired pediatrician who served the families of Okmulgee County for over 35 years, is being recognized for his outstanding contributions to health and wellness in the community.
From 1976 to 2012, Dr. Osborn dedicated his career to pediatric care, impacting the lives of countless children and families throughout the region. In addition to his work in the medical field, Dr. Osborn enlisted as a U.S. Marine, having served with distinction before pursuing his medical career.
“Dr. Osborn is a true pillar of our community,” Regional Administrative Director Jennifer Nunn said. “His passion for children’s health and ongoing volunteer work with organizations like the Lions Club, the Okmulgee County Community Garden and the YMCA’s Go Program, make him an ideal representative of the values we aim to celebrate in our campaign.”
Dr. Osborn remains an active volunteer, supporting efforts to promote healthy lifestyles, physical activity and nutrition for people of all ages in Okmulgee County.
The “Community Health Champions” campaign honors individuals like Dr. Osborn, whose dedication to improving public health and well-being leaves a legacy in the region.
