The Dewar Dragons and Lady Dragons delivered standout performances at the Okemah track meet last week, with the Lady Dragons securing a 4thplace team finish and the Dragons coming in 6th overall.
Leading the way for the Lady Dragons was Kyli Davis, who had a phenomenal day in field events. Davis took first place in the discus, second in shot put, and also grabbed a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, showcasing her all-around athleticism. Teammates Emmy Hall and Shyan Snelson also contributed significantly in the throws, with Hall placing third in shot put and fourth in discus, while Snelson secured third in discus.
The Dewar girls’ 4x200-meter relay team added to the team’s success with a third-place finish, and in individual track events, Adena Fowler raced to second in the 800 meters, while Remy Martin also placed second in the 800 and added a fourth-place finish in the 1600 meters, scoring key points in distance.
On the boys’ side, Parks Coble stood out in distance events, taking third in both the 1600 meters and 3200 meters, solidifying his status as one of the top distance runners in the region. In hurdles, Korbyn Anderson captured third in both the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, adding valuable points to the Dragons’ team total.
Keelan Berry earned fourth in the 200 meters, while Zach Moore threw his way to third in shot put, and Scott Hood landed third in discus to round out a solid field showing for the Dragons. Dakota Duke also picked up a fifth-place finish in the long jump.
With multiple top-five finishes across a variety of events, both teams demonstrated depth and determination.
The strong performance sets the stage for the Dragons and Lady Dragons to carry momentum into the final stretch of the track season.
