Dragons shutout Gore at home

The Dewar Dragons delivered a statement win on Monday, shutting out the Gore Pirates 14-0 in a dominant home performance.

Peyton Kilhoffer ignited the Dragons early, driving in two runs in the first inning with a single, and later belting a home run in the third. Dewar kept the pressure on with a balanced offensive attack, scoring in each of the first four innings.

Stoney Yaerger added to the scoring barrage with a solo shot in the second, while Luke Hankins pro- • Peyton Farrow: 2-for-2

Emmy Hall was unstoppable at the plate once again Monday, going 4-for-4 with a double and a triple to help power Dewar past the Stilwell Lady Indians, 11-4.

Hall scored in each of her at-bats and drove in one of Dewar’s five seventh-inning runs. Emma Bear, Tempe Parker and Cali Thomason all contributed key hits during that late rally. Alyssa Baughman and Jaycie Berry drove in runs earlier in the game to build the early lead.

Thomason pitched all seven innings for Dewar, allowing just one earned run on six hits while walking five.
