Area softball teams will gather for a full day of competition on Friday, March 28, as Okmulgee Public Schools hosts the 2025 Okmulgee Slowpitch Festival. The event will bring together nine local matchups at the Okmulgee fields, starting at 10 a.m. and running through the evening.
Teams scheduled to participate include Okmulgee, Wilson, Mounds, Checotah, Preston, Dewar and Henryetta.
Each game will be capped at a one-hour time limit, with run rules in effect to keep play moving: 12 runs after three innings, 10 after four and 8 after five. Side fields will be available for warmups to help keep the event on schedule.
