County Storms Cause Damage

An early morning storm on Tuesday brought high winds and damage to some areas in southern Okmulgee County. Reports were received of damage to homes and power lines near I-40 east of Henryetta, along with some wind damage to homes in the city. East Central Electric reported at least 1,170 members without power, but around noon, it was 115. Confirmed broken poles were up to 22. Okmulgee County Emergency Management Director Jeffrey Moore urges citizens that have damage to report those, as assessments are underway. Residents impacted by the recent storms to report damages to their property at https://tinyurl.com/5ysuutd7. For Oklahoma residents seeking non-emergency disaster or health and human service information, please contact your local 2-1-1. Services are available 24 hours a day by dialing 2-1-1 from your home or cellular telephone. Please only call 911 for emergencies.
