Marie Annette Thompson

Marie Annette Thompson, known as “Annette,” a cherished member of the Schulter community, peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in Henryetta at the age of 79. Born on January 11, 1946, in Okemah, she was the daughter of Hubert Carl Jackson and Evelyn Marie (Deshields) Jackson.

Annette attended Bearden Schools, graduating in 1964.

On November 20, 1965, Annette married Don Thompson in Bearden.

She was a member of Schulter Baptist Church for many years.

Beyond her church involvement, Annette was a dedicated member of the Westside Extension Homemakers.

Annette had a passion for quilting, creating beautiful pieces that were cherished by her family and friends. She also enjoyed attending southern gospel concerts, spending time at the lake, camping and fishing. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Annette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Thompson; her son, Kevin Thompson; her parents, Carl and Evelyn Jackson; her infant brother, Eric Jackson; her brothers, Carl and Danny Jackson; her grandson, Cole Thompson; her stepson, Rusty Thompson; and her niece, Crystal Fairris.

She is survived by her son, Wendell Thompson and his wife, Candi, of Henryetta; her son, Gerald Thompson, of Henryetta; her grandchildren, Julia Ezell and her husband, Dakoda; Jake Thompson January 11, 1946 – January 22, 2025

and Jacey Crayton; Kendyll Thompson; Zoie Weiberdink and her husband, Matt; and Zani Thompson. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Mazie, Zyla, and Titus, with another on the way. Annette is further survived by her sisters, Barbara Orrell, Karon Cheatwood and her husband, Lonnie, and Guyla Jackson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

A viewing will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Integrity Funeral Service. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Integrity Chapel, with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery in the Wilson community. Services are under the direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jake Thompson, Dakoda Ezell, Gary Mann, Chris Taylor, Danny Cox, Greg Dunson, Tony Thompson and Terry Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Thompson, Audie Cole, David Wilhite and the late Cole Thompson.

Annette’s legacy of love, faith and community service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
