Alfonso Joseph Petrone

Alfonso Joseph Petrone, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Tulsa, at the age of 85. Born on April 27, 1939, in Chicago to Joseph and Theresa (Molet) Petrone, Alfonso lived a full and purposeful life that touched many.

Al had a passion for rebuilding cars, a skill that reflected his dedication to detail and love for craftsmanship. He was immensely proud of his military service, during which he earned top security clearance, a testament to his unwavering sense of duty and integrity. Additionally, he took great pride in his work as a union member of the Communications Workers of America (CWA), always advocating for fairness and unity.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Brady Pangle, whose memories he cherished deeply.

Alfonso is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue (Miller) Petrone, of their home in Henryetta; his daughter, Lisa Petrone, of Sapulpa; and his son, Scott Jones and wife Toni, also of Sapulpa. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his April 27, 1939 – January 18, 2025

grandchildren: Mallory Petrone, Joseph “Brennyn” Petrone, Geoffery Jones, Devin Jones and Chelsea Moore; and one great-grandchild. Al is also survived by his sister, Roseann Bivin of Okmulgee and his niece, Joann Owen and husband Jerry of Morris. His extended family includes great-nieces and nephews, Jennifer Reeves, Matt Owen and Greg Owen, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will forever remember his kindness, humor and strength.

Alfonso’s life was a testament to hard work, devotion, and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A rosary will be held from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Integrity Chapel.

Viewing will take place from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service.

A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church, with Father Ken Harder presiding at Celebrant. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Brennyn Petrone, Devin Jones, Greg Owen, Rocky Kissee, Shawn Counts and Jerry Owen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Geoffery Jones, Jim Perkins, Matt Owen, Earl Vaughn and his buddies from the Chevrolet Garage at Mike Bailey Motors.
