Logan announces candidacy

Bryan Logan, a Republican from Paden, has announced his candidacy for state Senate. The Special Primary Election to fill the seat of outgoing state Senator Roger Thompson will be held on March 4, 2025. The District 8 seat covers much of Creek, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okfuskee and Okmulgee counties. — Defending Our Values

As our state Senator, Bryan will stand firmly with biblical convictions, championing the Christian, conservative principles on which our country was founded. He’s committed to defending our God-given rights and liberties from a growing government driven by left-wing ideologies.

“I love our area. I grew up here and raised my family here,” Logan said. “I want to put my life long conservative values to work and ensure that we have a strong, effective voice at the Capitol.”

“Radical leftists in politics today want to tear down our traditions and values. I will fight them with everything that I have. As your state Senator, I promise to be accountable to my constituents, work hard, listen, be available and always remain true to my core conservative principles.”

— Campaign Kickoff Party

Logan will hold a campaign kickoff party Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Paden First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 800 W. Elm St. in Paden. All are welcome to attend, and you can learn more at BryanLoganOK.com.

— More About Bryan Logan Bryan Logan is a lifelong resident of Senate District 8 – a pastor, husband, father, grandfather, small business owner and agricultural producer.

Bryan’s family has deep roots in our area, stretching back to pre-statehood days. His children are the seventh generation of his family in Okfuskee County. Bryan and his wife, Lindsey, met as students at Paden High School, and they still call Paden home. In fact, Bryan has lived on the same section of land his entire life.

Answering his calling early, Bryan began preaching in 2003 and has served as pastor at Paden Pentecostal Holiness Church since 2009. He also enjoys ministering at the John H. Lilly Correctional Facility, sharing hope with those in need.

Bryan has run a successful residential construction and custom carpentry business since 2005, giving him a solid understanding of what it takes to operate a small business in our area.

Bryan and Lindsey have been involved in agriculture their entire lives, running a cow-calf operation together. He serves on the American Farmers and Ranchers Insurance Okfuskee County Chapter Board, where he is both County President and local #462 President.

Bryan’s leadership extends beyond his local community. Since 2016, he’s served on the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board and currently holds the position of Secretary/Treasurer with the Oklahoma Building Inspectors Association. Since 2010, he’s been on the Residential and Commercial Advisory Board for Gordon Cooper Technology Center.

For six years, Bryan managed the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for the city of Shawnee, overseeing housing rehabilitation and coordinating with state and federal partners. He has also actively supported local volunteer fire departments in fundraising and community initiatives.

In the Senate, Bryan will support these issues:

Traditional Values

• Constitution is the basis for all decisions

• Support Biblical principles like protecting the right to life

• Keep biological men out of women’s sports and bathrooms

• NRA member, staunch Second Amendment supporter — Jobs & Economy

• Promote pro-growth, pro-business policies that build a strong economy with good jobs by holding the line against new taxes and regulation • Protect and promote rural schools and a firstclass education system for all students

• Support educators with better pay, classroom discipline and less red tape — Public Safety

• Support our Police and Fire Departments

• Tough crackdown on criminals

• Secure the southern border—no amnesty or “sanctuary cities” for illegal aliens • Promote culture of work in society by limiting welfare, drug testing recipients and requiring internship/training programs — Agriculture & Infrastructure

• Protect small town Oklahoma, agriculture producers and our rural way of life

• Invest in quality infrastructure and roads -Bryan Logan is ready to bring his deep commitment to faith, family, and community to the State Senate, advocating for the values and needs of Senate District 8.
