HPS board to address key matters at Nov. 11 meeting

The Henryetta Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, Nov, 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the Henryetta Board of Education Office, located at 1600 W. Gentry. The agenda includes administrative updates, reports from district officials, and a variety of action items that will shape the direction of the district through the rest of the school year and into 2025.

Agenda items include:

• HESA Report – Representatives from the Henryetta Education Support Association (HESA) will provide updates.

• HEA Report – The Henryetta Education Association (HEA) will deliver its report.

• Superintendent’s Report – Superintendent Jason Price is expected to provide a comprehensive update on district matters, recent accomplishments.

• Principal’s, Counselor’s and Athletic Director’s Reports • Maintenance Director’s Report Following the administrative updates, the board will address a series of action items, which include:

• Approval of Meeting Minutes – The board will review and vote on the minutes from both the regular meeting held on Oct. 14 and a special meeting from Oct. 30, 2024.

• Financial Reports and Encumbrances • Emergency Policy and Procedures – The board will vote on the approval of updated emergency policies and procedures, a critical component for school safety and preparedness.

• 2025 School Election Resolution This item will discuss and potentially approve a resolution for upcoming school elections in 2025

• Fundraisers for 2024-2025 – The board will review and vote on proposed fundraising activities, which are essential for supporting extracurricular programs and school events.

– 2025 Regular School Board Meeting Schedule – Board members will consider and approve dates for the 2025 regular meetings. All meetings are scheduled to take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Henryetta Board of Education Office. The proposed dates are:

• Jan. 13, 2025

• Feb. 10, 2025

• March 10, 2025

• April 14, 2025

• May 12, 2025

• June 9, 2025

• July 14, 2025

• Aug. 11, 2025

• Sept. 8, 2025 • Oct. 13, 2025

• Nov. 10, 2025

• Dec. 8, 2025 The meeting will conclude with board member comments, new business items and adjournment.

Community members are encouraged to attend to stay informed about district matters and decisions impacting Henryetta schools.
