Hallmark Christmas nears

As December approaches, the festive spirit is alive and well in Henryetta with the town’s much-anticipated annual Hallmark Christmas celebration set to bring holiday cheer on Saturday, Dec. 7. The event will run from 4-9 p.m. at City Gazebo Park, located on S. 4th Street next to City Hall.

The Hallmark Christmas event promises a cozy, family-friendly evening filled with holiday joy and activities for all ages. Attendees can enjoy shopping for holiday goods, savoring delicious treats from food vendors, warming up with a cup of hot cocoa, and even meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus. Among the event’s highlights will be a live Nativity scene, children’s train rides and a special toy drive organized by the American Guardians to ensure local kids receive a memorable gift this holiday season.

At 7:30 p.m., a spectacular Tree Lighting Ceremony will illuminate the night, casting a festive glow across the park and marking the start of the holiday season. “Henryetta Main Street looks amazing, just like a Hallmark town,” shared one local, reflecting the community’s excitement over this hometown holiday tradition.

In addition to the twinkling lights and festivities, this year’s event will feature live bluegrass music from the Klondike 5 String Band, promising toe-tapping rhythms and nostalgic holiday tunes. Their high-energy set in the gazebo is sure to add to the magical Hallmark ambiance.

Henryetta businesses are also joining in the fun with a window and storefront decorating contest, an idea first launched in 2022 that has brought out the creativity and holiday spirit of local merchants. “We’re thrilled to see Main Street come alive with holiday charm,” shared one organizer. “Let’s make this year exceptional, welcoming visitors and residents with the warmth of Henryetta.”

For vendors and food truck owners hoping to be part of the festivities, there are still a few booth spaces available. Interested parties can contact Kelly Dobson at 918-304-9891 or Valerie Mosco at 918-319-0157 to reserve a spot.

With activities for all ages and countless photo opportunities, the Hallmark Christmas event offers the perfect way for families to create lasting holiday memories. Mark your calendars for this magical celebration and join Henryetta in welcoming the holiday season!
