1 Peter 1:3-5 - “Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Because of his great mercy he gave us new life by raising Jesus Christ from death. This fills us with a living hope, and so we look forward to possessing the rich blessings that God keeps for his people. He keeps them for you in heaven, where they cannot decay or spoil or fade away. They are for you, who through faith are kept safe by God’s power for the salvation which is ready to be revealed at the end of time.”

Can you say, “heirs to the kingdom”? Because that is exactly what we are if we have accepted Christ. Inheritors of glory. All that good stuff that is Christ’s also belongs to us. Wow! But it is so difficult for us to imagine all that perfection, given that we live in a corrupted world. That is why we must remain so close to our Lord at all times. His strength becomes ours when we let Him envelop us in His love. There is no human way to get through this life unscathed without Him! As depressing as life can be at times, though, we still have that hope we can cling to. We find it when we pray, when we study the Bible, and when we worship, whether individually or collectively. Let us then do the work, holding tightly to Jesus’ hand, so that we can come to our mansions in the skies.
