Beggs, Wilson and Dewar earn wins
By PATRICK FORD NEWS EDITOR,

As the high school football season approaches its finale, Beggs, Wilson and Dewar all delivered decisive victories on Friday night, positioning themselves strongly for the upcoming playoffs.

— Beggs crushes Tishomingo, 56-12

The Beggs Golden Demons (7-2) showcased their strength in a 56-12 victory over the Tishomingo Indians, advancing their record to an impressive 7-2. The Demons dominated both sides of the field, with explosive plays that overwhelmed the visiting Indians. With the win, Beggs maintains momentum as they prepare for their final regular season game against the Dibble Demons (5-4) on Friday.

Dibble recently secured a narrow 20-14 win over Coalgate, setting up a competitive matchup.

— Tigers shut out Copan, 48-0

The Wilson Tigers (7-1) continued their success- ful season by blanking the Copan Hornets 48-0. The Tigers’ relentless defense held the Hornets scoreless, marking their seventh win of the season. With a record of 7-1, Wilson is set to host Wesleyan Christian on Nov. 8 in their final regular season game. Wesleyan Christian comes into the matchup with a boost of confidence following a 50-0 win over Gans.

— Dragons defeat Keota, 55-8 The Dewar Dragons (8-1) added another win to their stellar season, overwhelming the Keota Lions with a 55-8 victory during Homecoming. With a strong offense that has proven difficult to contain, Dewar looks poised to close their season on a high note. They’ll face off against the Caddo Bruins, who also boast an 8-1 record and are coming off a commanding 57-0 win over Canadian. This game, slated for Friday, Nov. 8, promises to be a competitive showdown between two top-ranked teams.

— Okmulgee struggles against Bethel in 46-0 loss Unfortunately, it was another tough outing for the Okmulgee Bulldogs, who were defeated 46-0 by the Bethel Wildcats. This marked the Bulldogs’ 19th straight loss, a streak dating back to last season. Bethel’s Ezra Powis led the night with 146 rushing yards and a touchdown, setting a personal career high, while Roger Brooks capitalized on a pick to add another score for the Wildcats. Okmulgee (09) will face Kiefer on the road this Friday at 7 p.m., looking to break their losing streak against a team riding the momentum of three consecutive home victories.
