Henryetta to celebrate Homecoming
Henryetta High School is gearing up for an unforgettable Homecoming celebration this year, set to take place on Thursday and Friday. The event promises to unite the community in a display of school spirit and local pride, transforming Main Street into a vibrant hub of activity.

--- Community Block Party & Parade
Central to the festivities is the Community Hoco Block Party, scheduled to take place from approximately at 6 p.m. on Main Street, between 4th and 5th streets, will be closed off to traffic to accommodate the celebration. The block party will feature an array of attractions, including the Homecoming Court parade, the Knights Football team, HHS Cheerleaders, and the Knight Brigade. A highlight of the evening will be the return of class floats, a beloved tradition that adds a colorful flair to the event.
Adding to the excitement, Main Street businesses have been invited to participate in the inaugural Spirited Storefront Competition. Businesses decorates their storefronts in creative and spirited displays using school colors and branding. Judging will be based on criteria such as creativity, overall aesthetic appeal, and community engagement measured through likes on a dedicated Knight Vision Facebook post. The winner of the '2024 Main Street Spirited Storefront Award' will be announced during the Block Party.
--- Homecoming Royalty & Activities
The Homecoming Court will feature representa- tives from various school organizations, showcasing a diverse array of student involvement. Activities throughout the week included float decorating sessions at the bus barn from Monday to Wednesday, providing students an opportunity to contribute to the parade's festive atmosphere.
--- Parade & Ceremony
On Thursday, Main Street will come alive with activity starting at 5 p.m., when floats must be in place between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. A hot dog sale will offer refreshments, with proceeds supporting school activities. The parade itself kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Following the parade, Homecoming Court members will gather at the football field for a rehearsal, ensuring smooth proceedings for the evening's events.

In a new twist, a tailgate sign competition encourages community members to create witty and creative signs to cheer on the Knights in their upcoming game against the Valiant Bulldogs. --- Joining the Celebration
For those unable to attend, Knight Vision offers live streaming of school events on their YouTube channel, ensuring that everyone can share in the excitement of Henryetta's Homecoming.
The Homecoming Queen will be announced before the start of the game against Valliant on Friday evening at Cameron Field.
The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. to allow ample time for photos and celebration before the Golden Knights take on the visiting Bulldogs.
