--- Berry’s Big Day Leads Charge In the first game, Jaycie Berry delivered a standout performance, driving in six runs to power Dewar’s 17-0 win. Berry’s two clutch hits, including a fourrun single and a two-run single, helped the Lady Dragons score 14 runs in a massive first inning. Berry also drew a walk in the second inning, bringing in another run. The Lady Dragons’ offensive explosion started early, as Emma Bear drew a walk to bring in a run, followed by Berry’s first single to score two more. Brooke Thomas added to the offensive onslaught with a two-run single, while Kyla Bear and Emma Bear also contributed RBI singles. Emma Bear later doubled to score two more runs, and Alyssa Baughman was hit by a pitch to force in another run.
By the time the first inning ended, Dewar had already established a commanding 14-0 lead. The Lady Dragons didn’t let up, scoring three more runs in the second inning thanks to singles from Emmy Hall and Jaycie Berry, along with a bases-loaded walk by Kinsey Maldonado.
Brooke Thomas earned the win for Dewar in a dominant pitching performance. She threw three innings of no-hit softball, striking out nine Liberty batters and walking none. Liberty’s pitcher struggled with control, giving up 17 runs (16 earned) on eight hits while walking 12 and striking out just one in two innings.
The Lady Dragons showed patience at the plate, drawing 12 walks over the course of the game. Emmy Hall, Temperance Parker, Bre Harvell, and Emma Bear each walked twice, contributing to Dewar’s relentless offense. The team also ran wild on the base paths, stealing four bases and not committing a single error in the field. Harvell led the defense with nine chances.

Temperance Parker and Bre Harvell were key contributors, with Parker driving in three runs with a single and Harvell hitting an inside-the-park home run to bring in two more.
The first inning saw a flurry of offense, with Emma Bear singling to score a run, a passed ball bringing in another, and Cam Casey and Kyla Bear drawing bases-loaded walks. Dakota Duke’s RBI single and Parker’s bases-clearing hit widened the lead. The inning ended with Dewar holding a commanding 14-0 advantage.
In the second inning, Dewar added three more runs with Parker hitting a sacrifice fly, Miracle Story grounding out to score a run, and Korbyn Anderson singling to bring in another.
Temperance Parker picked up the win for Dewar in the second game, tossing three perfect innings. She allowed no hits or runs while striking out three Liberty batters. Liberty’s struggles on the mound continued, with their pitcher allowing 14 runs on six hits and five walks in just one-third of an inning.
Dakota Duke and Parker both collected two hits, with Parker leading the team with three RBIs. Dewar remained patient at the plate, drawing eight walks, and once again displayed their speed with six stolen bases. Parker and Emma Bear each stole multiple bases to keep the pressure on Liberty.
With these two dominant wins, the Dewar Lady Dragons captured the District Championship in style. Their aggressive hitting, solid pitching, and flawless defense were on full display, leaving Liberty with no chance to mount a comeback.
As district champions, the Lady Dragons are now poised for a deep postseason run, with their confidence and momentum at an all-time high.
On Thursday, Dewar will face Quinton in the Regional Tournament.
