In honor of this exciting ri- valry, Henryetta Public Schools (HPS) is pulling out all the stops for their first-ever “Walker Cup Rally” on Thursday night. With no classes scheduled for Friday, the school community is gearing up for an evening of events leading up to the big game.
The action-packed evening will kick off with parent-teacher conferences, scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. At approximately 6 p.m., HHS will celebrate their softball seniors during Senior Night, followed by the Lady Knights taking on the Beggs Lady Demons on the softball field.
As the night progresses, the real spirit of competition will be ignited. Around 8 p.m., HPS will host a Community Spirit Rally around the newly installed HPS Firepit, located just south of the senior parking lot. The rally will feature the Knight Football team, HHS Cheer, and the Knight Brigade band, all helping to build excitement for the upcoming game.
The event promises to bring out school spirit, family fun, and anticipation for the Walker Cup game.
“We hope to see you there!” says the school administration, encouraging the community to come out and enjoy the festivities.
With both teams fired up and ready to battle, Friday’s game is sure to be a spectacle of athleticism and pride as Henryetta and Morris face off once again in this longstanding rivalry.
