Green Country Technology Center (GCTC) proudly hosted the Oklahoma CareerTech State Board meeting last week, welcoming esteemed board members and dignitaries to the campus. This event provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the advancements and achievements of GCTC students and programs.

Superintendent Roger King kicked oJ the meeting by presenting GCTC’s remarkable growth in enrollment and increased involvement in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). King highlighted the center’s unwavering commitment to its mission, vision, and core values, which continue to drive success and innovation in technical education.

One of the meeting’s highlights was a presentation by GCTC’s own SkillsUSA State OJicer, Jace Flud, who shared updates on the outstanding performances of GCTC students in HOSA, BPA, and SkillsUSA competitions at both the state and international levels.

Following the meeting, King, along with Marketing & Communications Coordinator Anthony Nieto, led the board members on a comprehensive campus tour. The tour allowed the board to observe the hands-on learning taking place across various programs, including Welding, Cosmetology, Construction Trades and more. Board members engaged with students and instructors, gaining insight into the impactful work being done to prepare students for successful careers.
