Last chance to register for OK Housing Conference

The 2024 Oklahoma Housing Conference is set to take place from Sept. 24-26 at The Reed Conference Center in Midwest City. This premier three-day event is a must-attend for housing professionals, developers, property managers, and stakeholders working to advance affordable housing solutions across the state.

The conference will feature the HOME Fundamentals Training on Tuesday, an in-depth, fourpart series designed for both new and experienced housing professionals. Attendees will receive a thorough overview of the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, including topics such as eligibility requirements, funding structures, compliance challenges, and best practices for implementing housing projects. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped to effectively manage and deploy HOME funds to create affordable housing in their communities.

Adding to the excitement, the conference will feature keynote speaker Jimmy Wayne, acclaimed country music artist and advocate for foster youth and affordable housing. His inspirational story will resonate with attendees and highlight the critical connection between housing stability and community well-being.

Another highlight of the event is the Fair Housing Training for Developers and Property Managers, designed to meet OHFA’s biannual training requirements. This essential session is crafted specifically for architects, developers, and contractors, focusing on compliance with fair housing laws. The training will cover design and construction requirements, fair housing principles, and best practices to ensure projects are inclusive and accessible for all. Property managers can attend a dedicated Fair Housing Training session led by the E&A Team, which will cover legal obligations and compliance strategies to foster inclusive housing practices.

OHFA requires two attendees per organization for most programs, so don’t miss this valuable opportunity to ensure your team is up to date on the latest regulations.

The Oklahoma Housing Conference is the perfect opportunity to connect with hundreds of industry professionals, learn from experts, and network with stakeholders dedicated to producing affordable housing throughout the state. Don’t miss this chance to gain valuable insights, enhance your expertise, and be part of the movement to create stronger, more equitable communities in Oklahoma.
