Okmulgee 4-H held their Outdoor Camp on May 30 at Deep Fork Natural Wildlife Refuge. The day was a great success filled with fishing, trapping skills and lessons, outdoor photography and bird watching.
Okmulgee 4-H held their Outdoor Camp on May 30 at Deep Fork Natural Wildlife Refuge. The day was a great success filled with fishing, trapping skills and lessons, outdoor photography and bird watching.
Sixteen campers and seven adults spent the morning enjoying the beautiful weather and getting to know more about the Refuge. This camp was one of ten camps being held this summer with Okmulgee County 4-H.
Students need not be enrolled in 4-H to attend and have fun learning new skills, they just need to sign up by the deadlines and pay at the extension office to attend.
The next camps are as follows:
• June 17 & 20 - Fairgrounds Beautification
• June 24-25 - Fair Arts Camp
• July 16 - 4-H Is for the Birds STEM Camp
