The May 14 Okmulgee County Republicans meeting will give voters the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of three of the registered Republican candidates running for county offices. They are County Commissioner District 2 candidates Ivan Funk and Steve Ward, running against Incumbent David Walker; and County Clerk candidate Tiffany Withrow running against Incumbent Tonya Day.
The June 11 meeting will feature the Incumbent Republican candidates for County Clerk, Tonya Day and for County Commissioner District 2, David Walker. Also speaking will be the three candidates running for the state office of Corporation Commissioner.
The May and June meetings are open to registered Republicans. The business meeting begins at 6 p.m., and the general meeting featuring the candidates begins at 6:30 p.m.
The Okmulgee County Republicans meet at the American Legion Post 10, 730 W. 6th St. in Okmulgee.
