New Henryetta Public School Superintendent Jason Price was the guest speaker at a recent Henryetta Lions Club meeting.
Members in attendance were Nita Robertson, Lou Ann Smith, Amy Nix, Corbet Witham, Shannon Henry, Robert Fowler, Donnie Smith and Shirley McCowan-Bussey.
Lion of the Day Donnie Smith introduced Henryetta School Board member David Molet and new Superintendent Jason Price from Henryetta Public Schools.
Other guests included Bruce Jones and Ashley Lirette of Edward Jones, new member.
Sunshine Report: The Smiths had a wonderful anniversary and Donnie is doing well with new medication. Lion Amy Nix’s daughter signed a commitment letter to cheer for Northeastern State University. Lion Robert Fowler said the Bluegrass/Gospel fundraiser raised $1,700.
Announcements: Bingo went really well and people are asking for more Bingo events – The Lions raised $930, the most funds to date.
