Norma Lee Glover

November 19, 1928 – March 2, 2024

Norma Lee Glover was more than just a daughter, a wife, a mother, an aunt, a cousin and a grandmother; she was the family’s matriarch. She was always Sissy to her baby brother, David Horn. They were very close, and never a day passed that they did not talk. With her infectious laughter, bright smile and sharp wit, she was the center of the universe to many of her family and friends.

She was born on November 19, 1928, and experienced many historical hardships in her long life. The most profound tragedy was the loss of her beloved son, Frankie Vassaur, in Vietnam. She also lost her husband, Joe Glover, in 2012.

Norma and Joe traveled the country in their motor home, spending their summers in Colorado swimming, fishing and taming the chipmunks. She loved the pool, her furbabies, the casino, Willie Nelson and her family.

In her youth, Norma had a passion for convertible Cadillacs. Professionally, she worked as a legal secretary for many large law firms in Tulsa. Norma and her best friend of 70+ years, Puggy, were practically inseparable throughout their lives, right to the end. We will be lost without her, as she passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 95 years old.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Bonnie and Collier Horn, of Okmulgee; her son, Frankie Vassaur; her husband, Joe Glover, of Tulsa; and her two brothers, Eugene Horn and William Horn, both of Okmulgee. She is survived by her brother, David Horn, of Okmulgee; heartbroken grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and her best friend. She can now again be with her mom and dad, her husband, son, brothers and beloved pets.
