The Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce Spring Craft Show is gearing up to be an extraordinary event, set for Saturday, April 20, at the Okmulgee County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kelly Baehler, the craft show coordinator, is brimming with excitement over the diverse array of vendors and artisans lined up for the occasion. Craft enthusiasts can expect a delightful assortment of talents, spanning from pottery to crochet, quilting, jewelry making, soap crafting, woodworking, papercraft and beyond.

In addition to these fantastic offerings, the craft show will also feature a diverse array of artisans with unique backgrounds and talents.

Mary Rowe, an Okie who has lived in Northeast Oklahoma her whole life, will be showcasing her crochet artistry. She began crocheting at the age of 7, taught by her aunt, and has since been delighting craft show attendees with her creations.

“I absolutely love seeing smiles on the faces of those who love my work,” she shares enthusiastically.

Yoleta Davis, a resident of Okmulgee and recent retiree from a 25-year career with Pepsi Beverages, will also be presenting her crafts at the show. Her roots in her hometown and her dedication to her craft reflect in her creations, promising a unique addition to the event.

Debbie Henderson, the creative mind behind Debs Sweet Country Home, brings a blend of experiences from various locations, including Weleetka, California, and North Idaho. Now settled in Henryetta, she specializes in crafting herbal products, from immune- boosting Elderberry Syrup to all-natural soaps. Additionally, Debbie sews aprons made from shirts, a heartfelt endeavor born out of a desire to create meaningful mementos for her family.

Several organizations, including 4-H and Lions Club, will be on hand to manage the food concessions. Vendors are required to stay for the duration of the event, with setup scheduled for Friday, April 19, from 7-9 p.m.

With such a diverse range of talents and offerings, the Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce Spring Craft Show is sure to be an unforgettable experience for attendees and participants alike.
