HHS alum to entertain at annual banquet
An exciting evening is in store tomorrow at the 109th Henryetta Chamber of Commerce Banquet.
“An Evening with the Stars” will be held at Henryetta High School (cafeteria) with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Chamber Executive Director Genny Mooney posted that there are just a few tickets left for the event, which is being presented with Silver Sponsors First National Bank & Trust, Henryetta Free-Lance, Green Country Technology Center and ecoLINK fiber.
Individual ticket price is $40 per person.
Special guests will be the Henryetta Jazz Band, and returning to her former high school is MaKayla Baxter, who will be entertaining the audience.
Baxter recently portrayed the lead role of Carole King in the Broadway production “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.”
The dress theme is “Gatsby,” and the Roaring ‘20s. Costumes are highly encouraged and there will be a jazz band entertaining, along with other performances, a silent auction, giveaways, costume contest and a photo booth.
The Chamber will celebrate the accomplishments of the past year with a number of special awards being presented to citizens.
The Henryettan of the Year Award, given by the Henryetta Free-Lance will also be announced during the evening.
