‘Henryettan of the Year’ to be announced
Just a few tickets are left for the event of the year this weekend at Henryetta High School.
The Henryetta Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the past year’s accomplishments, and presenting awards to outstanding members for their service.
Director Genny Mooney asked everyone to get their tickets this week for “An Evening with the Stars.” Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the banquet beginning at 7 p.m. in the HHS cafeteria.
The 109th banquet is presented by the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce, along with Silver Sponsors First National Bank & Trust, Henryetta Free-Lance, Green Country Technology Center and ecoLINK fi- ber.
Individual ticket price is $40 per person. Entrance to the HHS cafeteria will be through the main doors by the office.
Special guests will be the Henryetta Jazz Band under the direction of Alan Montgomery, and MaKayla Baxter, HHS alumni and Broadway star.
Dinner is being provided by Mona’s Restaurant of Henryetta; with Rustler’s providing the desserts.
For attendees, costumes/ period dress to align with the theme is encouraged, with those stand-outs receiving a prize.
There will be photo booths to take selfies, along with Gabrielle Leader Photography offering professional photos.
There will be silent auctions available, drawings for a variety of prizes, and a 50/50 drawing (cash or cards accepted).
“We have a great lineup of people and businesses that we’re going to be recognizing and this is the one time of the year that we get to do so in such a beautiful setting with all of our people from around the community,” the chamber representatives stated. “And it’s the perfect way to recognize the people that have donated their time and energy and efforts throughout this past year.”
The Henryetta Free-Lance will also present the “Henryettan of the Year Award.”
