Judy Spurlock

Judith Darlene (Jude) Spurlock passed away on February 10, 2024, in Tulsa. Born on October 17, 1948, in Broken Arrow, Judith’s life was a testament to the power of generosity and familial devotion.

Jude’s journey began as the beloved daughter of Paul and Jewel Cram. Her early years in Broken Arrow were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, and she carried this warmth into every aspect of her life. After graduating from Broken Arrow High School, she found her soulmate in Billy J. Spurlock, Jr., and they were united in marriage on November 30, 1967, in Dewar.

A dedicated mother to two sons, Brad Spurlock and his wife Jeanda of Morris, and Brian Spurlock of Dewar, Judith’s legacy is further cherished by her six grandchildren: Addison, Wesley, Kelsey, Kaley, Dustin, and Abbigail. Each of them was touched by her nurturing spirit and unwavering support. Her family circle extended to her two brothers, Gary Cram and his wife Betty of Broken Arrow, and Rick Cram of Henryetta. Judith’s life was richer for the many friends and other relatives who knew her as the heart of her family.

Jude’s professional life was marked by versatility and a strong work ethic. She took pride in her roles within various retail sectors, including a furniture store, barbecue restaurant, and convenience store. Her dedication to her work was paralleled only by her commitment to her faith and community. As a devoted member of the Morris United Pentecostal Church, she found joy in serving others and was particularly fond of working in the kitchen during church dinners and events.

The essence of Jude’s character was her boundless love for her family. She was the architect of family dinners and get-togethers, creating moments that will be treasured forever by those who were fortunate enough to be part of them. Her generosity extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Jude’s influence was felt far beyond the October 17, 1948 – February 10, 2024

walls of her church and home. She had the rare ability to make everyone feel like family, and her kindness left an indelible mark on the community. Her selfless nature was a guiding light, inspiring those around her to live with compassion and grace.

Preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Jewel Cram, and her sister, Paulette Friend, Jude’s spirit continues to shine brightly in the memories of those she loved. Her departure from this world has left a void that can never be filled, but her legacy of love and selflessness will live on forever.

Jude’s life was a beautiful illustration of what it means to give fully and love unconditionally. Her memory will be held in the hearts of her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, brothers and the countless lives she touched. Though she has departed from this earthly realm, the impact of her generous spirit will continue to resonate throughout the lives of her family and friends. Judith’s story is not one of loss, but a celebration of a life that was truly welllived.

Viewing for Jude will be held Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8-11 a.m. at Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Kurrin Finch, Wesley Spurlock, Dustin Crawford, Chad Spurlock, Fred Hill, Rick Kunze, Mike Foster, Dee Taber, Larry Smith, Kyle Raney, Chase Hampton, Don Beasley, Christopher Cram and Jordan Cram.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Morris United Pentecostal Church, 608 W. Ozark in Morris. Rev. Justin Monks and Sis. Judy Wainwright will officiate. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
