Clay Cowans was born on May 27, 1943, in Schulter to parents Johnnie Lee Cowans and Essie Mae (Bledsoe) Cowans. He passed away January 27, 2024, in Tulsa.

Visitation will take place at the Chapel of Peace of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. of Okmulgee Friday from 1-6 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 N. Miami Ave. in Okmulgee. Dr. Douglas Currington is the gracious host pastor. Elder Jackie Jones will officiate and Pastor Brian Stallings will give the eulogy.

Arrangements are under the direction of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. – Okmulgee Chapel.
