July 28, 1986 – December 7, 2023
On July 28, 1986, Mark and Connie Thompson gave birth to their first child Stephanie Necole Thompson. At 13 years old, she began working at Okmulgee Terrace as a kitchen-aide. It was at this point she developed a passion for the medical field. Over 20 years she worked as a CNA/ ACMA. During this time, she gained friends and associates along the way. She played confidant to many, counselor to most, spreading love and laughter throughout her lifetime. She loved her two children very dearly; they brought her so much joy.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother and grandfather; her paternal grandfather; her mother Connie Sue Johnson; Uncle Clayton Johnson; two aunts, Katherine Wilson and Lawanda Johnson.
Left to live and cherish her memory are her two children, Connell and Constance Thompson; her father Mark A. Thompson, Sr.; stepmother Barber Thompson; one brother Mark A. Thompson, Jr.; sisters Jessica and Monique Thompson; a grandmother Inez Y. Thompson-Johnson of Okmulgee, and a host of nieces, aunts, cousins, uncles and nephews.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Eastside Church of God in Christ.
