Over $13,000 distributed to district teachers
It was an exciting day for Henryetta Public Schools as $13,271.96 was awarded to teachers by the Henryetta Education Foundation.
Making the presentations was HEF President James Mc-Cullough, who was joined by members Jill Francis, David Warden and Keith Estes.
Since 1997, the Henryetta Education has awarded over $332,000 in Teacher Grants, an outstanding amount of money thanks to the community supporters.
However, that amount doesn’t include the HEF Scholarships and Cultural Programs that are funded through the group.
Over $240,000 in scholarships have been given to deserving students, and the Cultural Program has distributed over $220,000, according to McCullough.
The total amount is $793,000.
“That’s pretty impressive for a small community,” McCullough stated.
