Paolini was raised in the area of Paradise Valley, Mont. with his younger sister, Angela. He is of Italian descent and was homeschooled, graduating high school at the age of 15.
“Eragon,” the first book of The Inheritance Cycle, was first published in 2002 followed by “Eldest” in 2005; “Brisingr” in 2008 and “Inheritance” in 2011. The Inheritance Cycle (four books) has sold nearly 40 million copies worldwide.
By age nineteen, Paolini became a New York Times best selling author. On Jan. 5, 2011, Guinness World Records recognized Paolini as the “youngest author of a bestselling book series.”
His recent novel, “Fractal Noise,” was published on May 16, 2023. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at 6 p.m. Barnes and Noble in Springfield, Mo. will feature the release of his full-length standalone novel “Martagh,” the return to the World of Eragon.
Some interesting facts about Christopher: as a child, he was chased by a moose in Alaska; he qualified for Marksman in the Australian Army; Scottish Laird; and has his name inscribed on Mars.
