Nominations are now being accepted for the Henryettan of the Year.

The Henryetta Free-Lance has conducted this event since 1949. Every year since then, some outstanding citizen has received the distinguished honor of being named “Henryettan of the Year.”

Think back over the events of 2023 to remember the people you feel qualify as outstanding volunteers who helped make Henryetta a better place to live.

This honor will go to the person( s) that have worked to improve Henryetta whether in the community, city, school, organizations, etc.

In the nomination informa- tion, information on previous years of volunteering efforts may be included. Nominations may include residents of the surrounding areas in close proximity whose volunteerism has positively affected Henryetta.

Nominations may be e-mailed to the Free-Lance at denise@cookson. news or patrick@bigbasinllc.com, messaged through the Free-Lance Facebook page or mailed to 320 W. 6th Street, Okmulgee. Please have all nominations in by Dec. 30, 2023.
