Lots of work and planning has gone into making this year’s events and collaboration a success. The Pecan Festival is Thursday through Saturday, with the carnival opening at 5 p.m. Thursday. Wristband vouchers are now available at the Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce on N. Morton, Mabrey Bank on 6th Street, First National Bank on 8th Street and Okmulgee Main Street on 6th Street.
Wristbands are $25 and are good for any day that you wish during the threeday festival. However, the wristbands can only be used one time. If you wish to use a wristband for all three days, then you must purchase three vouchers, one for each day. After 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, the carnival will be selling the wristbands for $35.
An event this year for Bingo-lovers will be hosted by Knights of Columbus - Council 1677 on Oct. 28, at the Mabrey Bank Meeting Room, 111 E. 6th. Cash prizes will be determined by how many play.
