Diana Marie Collett

May 16, 1934 – October 12, 2023

Diana Marie Collett, a pillar of strength, generosity and faithfulness, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2023. She was born on May 16, 1934, in Henryetta. On August 2, 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Lee Collett. Diana was a baptized believer, a woman of unwavering faith and boundless love, whose life was a testament to her values and beliefs.

The daughter of the late Paul Marcus Reynolds and Jessie Mae Irene (Coody) Reynolds, Diana was a proud graduate of Henryetta High School, Class of 1952. She continued her education in fields related to her business ventures, including obtaining her Real Estate Sales License, demonstrating her ambition and determination. Her career path was diverse and impressive, starting as a Southwestern Bell Telephone Operator before becoming a successful business owner.

Diana, alongside her late husband, Ronald Lee Collett owned RODI Enterprises which included Ron’s Drive-In, Colonial Motel & Pancake House, Ron Collett Realty, Daylight Donuts and Ronnie & Ronda Tog Shop.

Diana’s career was not just a means to an end; it was an extension of her passion for serving her community. She was an active member of the Okmulgee Church of Christ, an Oklahoma election official, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and involved with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. Diana’s commitment extended to various organizations, including the Ithana Study Club, Epsilon Sigma Alpha International, the Cherokee National Historical Society, and the Republican National Committee (Lifetime Member).

Diana was the loving mother of Ronald Lee Collett, Jr. (Rhonda Alvarez), Ronda Ann Skaggs (James), and John Wertz (Sheri). She was the proud grandmother of Zachary Daniel Collett (Lea Anne), Jared Robert Collett (M. Yvonne), Corey Tyler Collett (Dayna), James Gaylord Skaggs Jr. (Katie), Marie Skaggs, and Breeahna Wertz. Diana was blessed with great-grandchildren Rhiannon & Ronan Collett, Edmond and Alexander Collett, Kai and Quinn Collett, and Jane Ann and Lily Grace Skaggs. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Lee Collett; her parents, Paul Marcus and Jessie Mae Irene Reynolds; and her brother, Marcus Leon Reynolds.

Diana was a woman of faith, living her life as a devoted member of the Okmulgee Church of Christ.

Her faith-filled life was reflected in the love she had for her family and the generosity she showcased in her community. Her spirit of giving, love, and faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Diana’s life was one of purpose and passion, filled with love for her family, dedication to her community, and commitment to her faith. She will be remembered as a beacon of strength and kindness, a loving matriarch, and a generous friend. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide the lives of those she touched.

May Diana Marie Collett rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of faith and love. Her spirit will forever be remembered in the hearts of her loving family and the community she served so faithfully.

Viewing will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2023, with family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Integrity Chapel, with Kevin Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
