OSUIT fall enrollment increases

Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology is celebrating a significant increase in student enrollment for the fall 2023 trimester despite the challenges posed by a statewide decline in enrollment across many colleges and universities.

The fall enrollment figures reveal an impressive 5 percent increase in student headcount and an 8 percent increase in credit hours year-over-year for the academic semester.

“We are so proud of the dedication of our faculty and staff in making OSUIT the school of choice for those seeking an advanced technical education. Because of OSUIT’s approach to hands-on learning and the support of industry leaders, our students are job-ready on the day they graduate. More and more people are rediscovering the value of trade skills, and we are ready to teach them,” Chris Benge, OSUIT Vice President of Operations and former Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, said.

This enrollment success aligns with OSUIT’s mission of preparing students for high-demand careers in various technical fields. OSUIT offers a robust curriculum, state-of-the-art facilities, and a faculty committed to excellence and dedicated to empowering students with the skills and knowledge needed to join the workforce.

OSUIT also works proactively to address the rising cost of college and routinely ranks among the most affordable degree programs in the region. Scholarships and financial aid packages are also available, helping to ease the financial burden for nearly every student on campus.
