Ken Colley, a Rotarian since 1990, was District Governor and made his way across his district. He visited each club and motivated club members to recruit new members and be more involved in Rotary activities.
The Dewar Dragons earned the biggest win of the season. The Bentjen twins racked up 371 yards rushing on a combined 43 carries and accounted for all four touchdowns.
Vic’s 66 held grand opening smoke shop specials and October specials on all items in the store.

Henryetta’s downtown business district was the scene of a suspicious fire. The blaze began in two different locations in a shop.
Stage was robbed by three suspects during a football game. HPD caught all three suspects within six minutes, who took several pairs of jeans and various other items.
Howard Edmondson of Dewar and Brandon Wright of Henryetta finished the short go-round for the Bushy Head Labor Day pasture roping with a time of 19.14. They had a record total of 74.22 seconds in three trips out of the roping box, and were sitting first in the average.

Howard Hobbs, Henryetta High School senior, was chosen to attend the 4-H American Royal Conference.
Doni Archer, of Dewar, took 3rd place with his tree leaf exhibit and David Martin, of Henryetta, won 2nd place for his fishing lure display at the Tulsa State Fair for their 4-H Projects.
The Oklahoma Symphony came to the Henryetta High School Auditorium to perform for Henryettans. The orchestra was brought to Henryetta as the first program in the 1973 Arts and Humanities Council season.

A 10 pound bag of sugar was $0.91 and now costs $8.77 at Walmart. Grape juice cost $0.79 for a gallon and is now $3 for the Great Value brand grape juice.
The Hub, Inc. Army and Navy Store held a Gold Money Sale. Every purchase received a ticket and 50 tickets got the free package. The package was $300.
Henryetta Bakery sold eight different types of bread, including pullman, regular, viennas, plats, rye, graham, whole wheat and raisin. They also sold non-parriels, brownies, ice cream, mountain top, Japanese marshmallow and rolls.
