Henryetta Homecoming Week continues

It’s Homecoming Time for Henryetta High School and Henryetta students have been really creative this week as they celebrate. During the week, HHS students were tasked with bringing their work to school in anything but a pack pack. Some used animal traps, spare tires, a mailbox, shopping carts, etc.

Knight Brigade to compete in Konawa Saturday

It’s Homecoming Time for Henryetta High School and Henryetta students have been really creative this week as they celebrate. During the week, HHS students were tasked with bringing their work to school in anything but a pack pack. Some used animal traps, spare tires, a mailbox, shopping carts, etc.

On Wednesday, high school students dressed as Character or Meme, with teens bringing their ideas to life.

Yesterday evening, a community wide parade and pep assembly was held to showcase the Homecoming Royalty.

This evening, the winner will be announced before the start of the football game. The court should be in place by 5:15 p.m.

• Mock Trial: Reagan Mordecai & Ruth Turner

• NHS: Skylar Greenhaw & Shannan Corkerin

• Academic Team: James Whitney & Violet Clinger

• Powerlifting: Weston Wincle & Winter Beaver

• Wrestling: Peyton Owens & Lily Haywood

• Senior Attendant: Tyshawn Jensen & Nevaeh Hernandez

• Junior Attendant: James George & Addy Chavez

• Sophomore Attendant: Blaze Hill & Serenity Rex

• Freshmen Attendant: Kona Johnson & Kenzie Morris

• Ring Bearer/Flower Girl: Boss Johnson & Parker Simons The football game begins at 7 p.m. at Cameron Field.

At tonight’s game, the Henryetta Knight Brigade will be manning the concession stand and changing up their menu. Come get a Nathan’s famous hot dog smoked by Rustlers BBQ topped with the old school band chili while supplies last!

The band will then be up bright and early Saturday as they travel to the 59th annual Konawa Band Day. The Knight Brigade is scheduled to take the field at 1:35 p.m. They will also perform in the Band Day Parade. Other schools scheduled beside Konawa and Henryetta are Wilson, Little Axe, Luther, Wewoka, Okemah, Marietta, Seminole and McCloud.

The Knight Brigade is under the direction of Alan Montgomery.
