The Beggs youth football program will play host to its county rivals, the Morris Lil Eagles, this Saturday in a 3-game meeting at Tate Field at Golden Demon Stadium.
Saturday’s county youth football showdown will get underway with 1/2 grade action at 4:30 p.m., followed by the 3/4 grade contest at 6 p.m. and the 5/6 grade game at 7:30 p.m.
The host Beggs Lil Demons sport a 3-3 overall season record in 1/2 grade and spotless 6-0 records in the other two divisions, while Morris enteres with season records of 4-2 in the 1/2 grade division, 2-4 in the 3/4 grade division, and 3-3 in the 5/6 grade division.
The Lil Demons earned a 3-game sweep last Saturday over the Liberty (Mounds) Lil Tigers with three shutout wins – 41-0 (1/2 grade), 8-0 (3/4 grade), and 37-0 (5/6 grade), respectively.
The Lil Eagles took 2 of 3 from the Kellyville Lil Ponies last Saturday in Kellyville with the two Morris wins coming in the 1/2 grade (376) and 5/6 grade (19-7) divisions, while the lone Lil Eagle loss last Saturday came in the 3/4 grade division by a 31-0 margin.
