The shutout loss came in District 2A-7 action against the host Kansas Comets.
The setback drops the Eagles to 2-3 on the year and 0-2 in district play, heading into this Friday’s home showdown with the talented Victory Christian Conquerors.
Friday’s district home contest against Victory Christian is set to get underway at 7 p.m. at Larry Bookout Field in Morris.
In last Friday’s road game at Kansas, the host Comets scored on TD runs of 17 and 60 yards, respectively, in the opening quarter for a 15-0 advantage.
Kansas added a 23-yard TD run and 15-yard TD pass in the second quarter to take a 28-0 lead into the halftime break.
The final two Comet scores in the contest came on a 60-yard pass play in the third and a 5-yard run in the fourth to hand the Morris squad the 41-0 defeat.
The Morris offense was held to just 68 yards of total offense and 4 first downs in the shutout loss.
