Members of the Henryetta and Wewoka High School coaching staffs met at midfield following a power failure during the 3rd quarter of the football game. The power at the Wewoka football field was out for an hour before the game resumed.
Henryetta Middle School student Michelle Smith opened a business called Buttons, Gifts, and More. Michelle was issued temporary tax permits.
Henryetta Mayor Wayne Francis signed a proclamation for the Henryetta Optimist Safety campaign “Always Buckle Children” which began in May 1998 and was continued after school began in August.
