The Okmulgee Lady Bulldog varsity fastpitch softball team found themselves on the losing end of a 10-0 outcome Tuesday evening in Eufaula.
The shutout loss put the Lady Bulldogs at 4-12 on the year and 0-8 in district play.
The Okmulgee squad was scheduled to return to action Thursday at home against Webbers Falls and will travel to Spiro Saturday for a district doubleheader against the Spiro Lady Bulldogs.
The Okmulgee ladies will begin next week’s schedule at home Monday against Tulsa Edison and will travel to Roland Tuesday for a district doubleheader against the Roland Lady Rangers.
In Tuesday’s road meeting with Eufaula, the lone baserunner for the Lady Bulldogs was Natori Yates, who drew a 2-out walk in the third.
Eufaula began the scoring with a run in the bottom of the first, then added four in the third and five in the fourth for the 10-0 decision.
Yates was saddled with the pitching loss on Tuesday, allowing 10 runs on 10 hits with five walks and two strikeouts in three and two-third innings of work.
