The Dewar youth football program will begin its 2023 campaign on the final Saturday of August (Aug. 26) at the friendly confines of Dr. Ted Lewis Stadium.
The Lil Dragons’ first opponent of 2023 will be the Jennings Bluejays.
The season opener will begin with the Flag Football game at 5 p.m. followed by the 3/4 grade contest at 6 p.m. and the 5/6 grade game at 7:30 p.m.
After a bye week on September 2, the Dewar squad will embark on a 2-game road trip in its next two scheduled contests, traveling to Luther on September 9 and Wellston on September 16.
The Lil Dragons will return home September 23 to host the Wetumka Chieftains, then will travel to Wilson (Henryetta) for a county showdown with the Wilson Tigers.
The Dewar youth football program will close out its regular-season schedule October 7 at home against the Weleetka Outlaws.
The Oklahoma 8-Man Youth Football League semifinals will take place October 28 at Weleetka, while the league championship games will be held at Yale High School on November 4.
