7 Hills Music Fest comes to Nichols Park Saturday

It’s almost showtime as Henryetta prepares for the 7 Hills Music Fest, on Saturday, at Nichols Park.

The Henryetta Chamber of Commerce and various committees have worked hard to bring the 7 Hills Music Fest lineup which includes Drew Baldridge, One Nation, Lance Gouge and the Brent Giddens Band to close out the event.

Due to circumstances, the group Showdown is unable to be in attendance.

Physical tickets are available for purchase for those unable to do so online at the Chamber office, Burnett’s Furniture, Rustlers, The Nail Boutique and The Shack 2.0.

Musicians will perform from 4-10 p.m. with five musical guests on the lineup.

One of the featured performers is Lance Gouge, a 21 year old Mvskoke citizen, who was raised in Henryetta. He grew up in a family that sings and plays instruments and at the age of 13 he taught himself how to play the guitar.

His signature Red Dirt sound become a favorite within the State of Oklahoma.

His songs “This Time,” “Tonight” & “She’s a Good One” are on all music platforms and he remains a verified artist on Spotify.

Another native Oklahoman performing is Brent Giddens with his band.

About Giddens: “Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Brent Giddens treats each song he writes with a painstaking level of dedication, reverence, respect and as he’ll readily admit, even a bit of obsession. Giddens wrote tirelessly before his new album released on April 13, 2021. The 11-track album features songs such as his current single, “A lot of Things to Drink About” and “Flawless,” along with two new tracks, including “Hero Down The Hall,” and “Forevermore.” The Album, Pictures, follows the Oklahoma-based performer’s successful debuts, 2020’s Pick Your Poison, 2018’sRed Dirt Blues, and 2017’s Worth It.

“The goal going forward then, Giddens insists, is to never remain stagnant. He has a packed touring and playing schedule, and always tries to make time for writing new music. He idolizes musicians who are always redefining their creativity. He intends to do the same. “The Brent Giddens Band is widely recognized as one of the Top Country/Red Dirt Bands in the area as well as the Nation. You can catch them playing somewhere close to you! Check out the TOUR button on this site.” brentgiddens. com Another headliner is Drew Baldridge, a country music singer and songwriter. He has issued several independent singles via Cold River Records, and has charted several times on Country Airplay.

Baldridge was born in Patoka, Ill. in 1992. He began performing in local talent contests as a teenager, and moved to Nashville, Tenn. at age 18 to pursue a career in country

can still be obtain ahead of time, but will be available at the gate. Also pictured are performers Drew Baldridge and Brent Giddens.

One of the featured performers at this weekend’s 7 Hills Music Fest is Lance Gouge (above left), who grew up in Henryetta. The music fest is from 4-10 p.m. Saturday at Nichols Park. Tickets music. Baldridge released a pair of extended plays digitally between 2014 and 2015. Later on, he released the single “Dance with Ya,” which was officially sent to radio and became his first chart entry on Country Airplay. A full studio album, Dirt on Us, came by year’s end. In promotion of the album, Baldridge toured with Lee Brice and Cole Swindell.

“When I was out there, it hit me: I wasn’t making music that was authentic to me. I grew up listening to Alabama, Brooks & Dunn and John Anderson with my grandpa, with my friends. It was the music I was raised on. There are a lot of people just like me who grew up that way, and I want my music to reflect them,” says Baldridge. drewbaldridgemusic. com Nichols Park will be closed that day to allow setup of the venue beginning at 8 a.m. Gates will open at 3 p.m. with music beginning at 4 p.m.

The festival will also include family fun activities, vendors and food. There will be several cooling stations and lots of water, and attendees can bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the music.

Tickets are $35 in advance (with a $10 free play at Golden Pony) or $50 at the gate. Children ages 12 and under will get in free with an adult ticket holder.
