Giveaway includes 42” zero-turn mower
The Henryetta Education Foundation annual fundraiser is currently underway, according to President James McCullough.
For 26 years, the Henryetta Education Foundation has provided almost $500,000 in teacher grants and scholarships since its inception in 1997.
The HEF provides grants each year to teachers in the Henryetta School district to obtain materials or equipment to use in their classrooms for their students.
This year, the Foundation has set a goal of raising $16,000.
Tickets are now being sold for a chance to win not only a Kubota Z231 42 inch Zero-turn Mower, but a Echo Weedeater, Echo Leaf Blower or a $100 Gas Card.
Last year, the HEF gave away a 64 inch Kubota mower, but this year, decided on a smaller mower in addition to other prizes.
One ticket is $20 which gives the purchaser four chances to win. The drawing will be held on Saturday, June 10, during Cruise Night. You need not be present to win.
Sponsors for the giveaway include Stewart Martin Kubota, American Exchange Bank, First National Bank & Trust, First Family Federal Credit Union, Burnett Hardware, theHenryettan.com Tickets can be purchased at the following loca- tions:
• First National Bank
• Burnett’s Furniture
• Reggie Palmer
• Edward Jones All HEF board members will also have tickets available.
“We will have the mower so people can look at it at the upcoming rodeo, golf Spring Fling, there is going to be a block party before cruise night, and at the Pickleball Tournament,” McCullough said. “We’ll try to hit all the activities happening in town and have tickets for sale at those things so people can pick them up.”
