Co-Parenting Classes will be offered at the Henryetta Library Wednesday, April 19. The free class is presented by OSU Extension and will be held once a month. If interested, please call the OSU Extension Office at the Okmulgee County Fairgrounds and speak to Jill Gibbons at 918-756-1958.

Journey Through Health |

OSU Extension will present a free class for senior residents called Journey Through Health Wednesday, April 19, from 10-11:15 a.m. at the Senior Nutrition Center in Henryetta. The class is held once a month and covers different parts of the body and how to keep yourself healthy. Exercise classes for the elderly will be introduced soon. St. Michael Spaghetti

Dinner |

St. Michael Catholic Church will hold a Spaghetti Dinner Saturday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be hosted by the Altar Society and Fr. Robert Duck, and will feature spaghetti and a meatball, salad, bread, refreshment and dessert for $10 for adults and $3 for children under 6. Additional meatballs cost $1 each. Dine-in carryout are available. Call 918-6523445 for delivery.

Hoffman Fellowship |

Southern Sunlights will perform Saturday, April 22, at 5 p.m. at Hoffman Fellowship Church, with southern fried chicken and cobbler to follow!

April 24 OCGS | The Okmulgee County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting Monday, April 24, at 1 p.m. at the Okmulgee Public Library. Medication Take-Back Event | A Medication Take-Back Event will be held Wednesday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the OSUIT Student Union parking lot. Bring any unused or expired medications for safe and anonymous disposal. The event is a partnership of OSUIT, OSUIT Police Department, OSU Department of Wellness and the Okmulgee County Consortium, and is funded by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.

April 28-29 Clue | Okmulgee Community Theatre will perform “Clue,” a comedy involving murder on stage and ‘who did it’ at the Orpheum Theatre, 210 W. 7th St. Friday and Saturday, April 28-29, at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $10 and children 12 and under is $5.

Golf Tournament Fundraiser | Golf Tournament Fundraiser | The Okmulgee Masonic Lodge #199 & Okmulgee- Okfuskee County Youth Services Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, April 29, at the Henryetta Golf & Country Club. Entry fee is $60 per person for the 4-Man Scramble and includes a cart, green fees and lunch. Tee time is at 8:30 a.m. and entry is limited to the first 16 teams. In the event of rain, the tournament will be cancelled with no makeup. Call 918-756-7700 for more information.

Ongoing Events FCC Food Pantry | Henryetta First Christian Church, 412 N. 5th St., hosts a Food Pantry at 10 a.m. the last Saturday of each month.

OKFB Youth Agriculture Conference Applications | Applications for the OKFB Young Farmers and Ranchers Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture conference are now open. All high school students completing their junior year are encouraged to apply for a week full of personal, professional and leadership growth June 13-16. Apply today at okfb.news/OYLA23.

Elderly Nutrition Meals | MC Nutrition Services, 211 S. 11th St. in Henryetta, provides meals to those aged 60+ Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a $1.50 donation. All senior citizens in the community are encouraged to join in a nutritious and delicious meal. Call 918-652-3086 for more information.

Angels in Recovery | Angels in Recovery, a support group for women fighting with addiction, meets Fridays at 7 p.m. in the Youth Building of Henryetta Nazarene Church, located on the corner of 7th & Trudgeon. Win your battle!

Rez Recovery | Rez Recovery AA meetings with Casey Thomas are held Saturdays at 4 p.m. at Tulledega Hills Theater, 3000 W. Main in Henryetta.

Worn Flags Sought | Henryetta VFW Post 539 is collecting used and worn flags to be properly disposed of during a flag retirement ceremony. Flags can be dropped off at the Henryetta Free-Lance, 302 W. Main in downtown Henryetta. Call Vice Commander Hugh Jackson at 918-650-2443 for more information.

Community Breakfast | Tulledega Masonic Lodge No. 201 in Henryetta hosts a Community Breakfast the third Saturday of each month from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Lodge, 402 E. Trudgeon. Admission is $8 per person.

NA Recovery Group | Henryetta Nazarene’s New Life Recovery Group hosts NA meetings Thursday nights at 7 p.m. in the church’s Youth Building, 7th & Trudgeon. Meetings are open to anyone struggling with addiction or family members of those struggling with addiction.

Freedom Warriors NA Meetings | Joy in Life Freedom Warriors host NA meetings every Monday at 7 p.m. at 611 E. Trudgeon in Henryetta. Attendees are asked to use the glass door entrance. Visit the Joy in Life Freedom Warriors Facebook page for more information.

PC Memories Computer

Giveaway | PC Memories Inc, a nonprofit corporation, donates refurbished desktop and laptop computers to low income families with children, as well as adults, seniors and veterans who live in Okmulgee County. Applications are available at the Henryetta and Okmulgee Public Libraries or online at okmulgeepc.com.

Hoffman Fellowship | Hoffman Fellowship is open for gospel singing and dinner each Saturday beginning at 5 p.m.

NAACP Meetings | The Okmulgee NAACP Chapter meets the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago in Okmulgee. The meetings are open to the public.

Okmulgee County Democrats | The Okmulgee County Democrats meet the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the OSUIT Student Union, 1801 E. 4th St. in Okmulgee.

Okmulgee County Republicans Meeting | The Okmulgee County Republicans meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at the American Legion, located at 6th & Oklahoma.

Adult Basic Education | OSUIT is offering free Adult Basic Education classes for GED test preparation at the following sites: Beggs Crossroads Baptist Church, OSUIT at the old workforce building, Dewar City Hall and Henryetta High School. COVID-19 Tests | The Okmulgee County Health Department will provide COVID-19 testing Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Appointments are recommended but not required, and afternoon appointments may be available as well. The OCHD is located at 1304 R.D. Miller Drive and can be contacted at 918756-1883.
